Hilo Airport
We have found that a variety of airlines provide flights from the west coast of the US to Hawaii for very good prices.Check it out. We have also heard that if you sign up for a Hawai'ian Airlines master card, you get 30,000 free miles if you spend $1000 in the first 90 days. That is a free trip from the continental US.
This of course varies year to year--please research your trip carefully and plan ahead allowing time to find the best travel plans for you at the best price available.

We also recommend that you arrive on the big island in the morning or afternoon. allowing plenty of time to stop in and pick up some groceries, get to your lodging, and settle in before the first gathering.Check the arrival details for your workshop for more info.

Car Rental: Autoslash  or Turo.com (in 2023 we have had great luck with Turo-check out the website)
We've found this site to be extremely helpful for getting the best rental rate.

We also hear that a good way to rent a car is with COSTCO.
I hear that you do NOT need to be a Costco member, you can pick the car up from the Hilo airport,  and you can cancel (as usual)
AND have a second driver for no additional cost--A BIG HELP  for the workshops on the farm. Check it out.
